The 116660 Deep Sea appeared along with the end of production of the 16600 in 2008. It surprised everyone by being released in the largest size in the Rolex collection at 44mm and with a thickness of approximately 18mm. It is the culmination of Rolex's waterproof technology and is designed to withstand water pressure of 3900mm. The "D-BLUE" dial was added in 2014, and production ended in 2018, giving way to 126660.
