Introducing a stunning Cartier watch. This is the Cartier Santos Galbé LM Large Guilloche 18K Gold model. It's automatic, Not a cheap quartz watch. It's a men's LM size, Not a women's SM size.
This is a very rare product that was officially sold at the Hyundai Department Store COEX, And is a very rare Santos item that was purchased in 2007 and comes with a Cartier certificate of authenticity and a Korean manual.
The watch for sale is not an older model that opens in one direction, But a newer Santos Galve model with a butterfly two-way buckle that opens on both sides that was released after 2000.
Most Santos Galbes sold secondhand are over 90% equipped with quartz movements, But the watches being sold are automatic models with automatic movement systems. Naturally, Automatic models were produced and sold at a much higher price than quartz models.
From the beginning, There was a big price difference between quartz and automatic at the time of release, And the biggest difference was that Cartier quartz, Famous for its guilloche dial, Did not use the guilloche method.
All automatic models feature a guilloche dial, Showcasing the most Cartier-like appearance.
The yellow color you see on the watch is all made of 18K yellow gold, Which is real gold, And of course, It is about 1.5 to 2 times more expensive than the all-steel model that does not contain gold.
Guilloché refers to the process of creating patterns on the dial by hand, One by one, At the Cartier Menu Pack factory.
The Cartier Automatic Santos Galbé model has a dial with a guilloche pattern, And as you can see in the photo I uploaded, You can see that the guilloche pattern spreads out at regular intervals in the shape of a flower starting from the center of the dial.
It refers to adding an aesthetic effect by creating a pattern and intervals in both positive and negative on the dial. Cartier mainly uses the guilloche technique to produce watches only for its expensive models.
The watch brands most known for their signature guilloche technique are Cartier and Breguet, A high-end watchmaking company, Which primarily uses the design.
On the other hand, Cheaper quartz models have a plain, Flat dial and do not feature Cartier's signature guilloche pattern.
If you look closely at the close-up photos I've posted, You'll see that dozens of surfaces, Starting from the exact center of the dial, Are adorned with a consistent, Oval-shaped pattern. This creates the illusion of a flower blooming from the center of the watch.
It's hard to capture in photos, But when you see it in person, It's so incredibly sophisticated that anyone would be captivated by it. I think it's more like a work of art than a watch.
Cartier started out as a jewelry brand and is now a rapidly rising brand in the watch market. Some of its famous models include the Santos, Ballon Bleu, Pasha, And Tangsol.
However, The Santos model is the one that created Cartier as it is today. It's a must-have item for celebrities of all ages, Even Hollywood stars. In fact, It's the number one gift item in the jewelry and watch industries worldwide. Even women who know nothing about watches know Cartier.
Santos' consistent design, Which has not changed at all over the years, Is very similar to that of the French luxury bag company Louis Vuitton and the Swiss luxury watch company Rolex.
I believe that Cartier watches are the ones that preserve the value of luxury that never changes.
Second, The 'Blue Hands', The pinnacle of Cartier's technological prowess placed on the dial made of Roman numerals, Which can be said to be another symbol of Cartier watches, Are the symbol of luxury watches.
Blue hands are a symbol of high-end luxury watches, And are a particular hand-making technique used primarily by Cartier, Drawing on its long tradition and expertise. (See photo)
This watch's hour, Minute, And second hands are directly fired over a blazing furnace at temperatures exceeding 300 degrees Celsius, Creating a truly luxurious feel. Rather than an artificial blue, The watch's hands are bathed in a subtle, Yet soft blue glow.
And one thing I'd like to point out is that the Cartier Santos is so popular that there are many counterfeit watches on the market. There are many ways to distinguish a fake from a genuine one, And one of the most common is the subtle blue glow of the second and hour hands. These are called "blue hands."
The minute and hour hands of a genuine watch appear black at first glance, But when exposed to light, They appear blue or sky blue. It's these small details that distinguish a watch from a luxury brand.
As you can see, The watch is in excellent condition for its age. Naturally, The glass is also remarkably clean and clear, With no scratches. Automatic watches are automatically charged by the wearer's wrist, Eliminating the inconvenience of battery replacement and offering a smooth second hand.
I recently completed authentication registration on the official Cartier website using my ID. If you wish to transfer the watch, Please register as a member of the Cartier website and we will process the transfer for you. (★See photo)
If you are the recipient of the watch after this, You can register it as genuine under your ID when I sell and transfer the watch to you by signing up for Cartier membership.
