If we were to name the most popular Omega model after the Moonwatch it would likely be the Diver 300M. While you can purchase this model at official boutiques many users are looking for opportunities to buy pre-owned pieces in excellent condition at reasonable prices on the secondary market. In fact the trading volume of Omega watches on VIVER continues to increase.
Following Rolex’s sudden retail price increase Omega has also announced a price hike of about 3 percent coming this July. Let’s take a look at how the price of the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M has changed in the secondary market up to May 2024 based on VIVER transaction data.
First let’s look at the so-called “New Seamaster” Diver 300M. (Transaction data was collected based on the standard model with a steel bracelet.)

As of the end of May 2024 unworn Diver 300M transactions remain active. In the secondary market except for a few brands (Rolex AP) unworn watches are rarely seen but the trading volume of unworn New Seamaster models is also significant.
Notably the Green Dial (210.30.42.20.10.001) model has the highest number of actual transactions. The unworn price has remained in the low 6 million KRW range since early 2024 and the most recent transaction (6.25 million KRW) was completed at a price 26.5 percent lower than the current retail price (8.5 million KRW).
The Black Dial (210.30.42.20.01.001) has also maintained a price in the low 6 million KRW range but recently broke the 7 million KRW mark for the first time (7.15 million KRW). Nevertheless this is still a 15.9 percent discount compared to the retail price.
Personally my favorite Blue Dial (210.30.42.20.03.001) has the lowest number of unworn transactions with only one case. The exact reason is unknown but it is assumed that many people prefer to wear this refreshing color during the summer season.

Now let’s look at pre-owned pieces that have passed through someone else’s hands. The pre-owned market is also very active.

Pre-owned transactions show a slightly different trend from unworn pieces.
The Black Dial (210.30.42.20.01.001) had the highest number of transactions with prices ranging from 3.75 million to 5.1 million KRW depending on condition and year. This is at least a 40 percent to nearly 60 percent discount compared to the current retail price.
The pre-owned Green Dial (210.30.42.20.10.001) showed the highest average transaction price with a reasonable range between 5.1 million and 6 million KRW.
The Blue Dial (210.30.42.20.03.001) also had a small number of pre-owned listings. The pre-owned price is between 4.6 million and 4.9 million KRW.
It is natural that newer models attract more attention in the market but there are always those who prefer the previous generation depending on their taste. The same goes for the Seamaster Diver 300M. Some may remember the excitement when the upgraded model with a ceramic bezel and dial was released in 2012.
Those who prefer the smaller 41mm size and the clean dial without the wave pattern seem to especially seek out the previous generation.
Let’s take a look at the 2024 transactions for the previous generation Seamaster Diver 300M also known as “Old Seamaster.”

These models were released between 2012 and 2018 and as they have aged it is unfortunately difficult to find unworn pieces.
Looking at 2024 pre-owned Black Dial (212.30.41.20.01.003) transactions prices range from 2.9 million to 3.88 million KRW depending on year and condition. The Blue Dial (212.30.41.20.03.001) shows a slightly higher average price ranging from 3.1 million to 4.9 million KRW.

Finally let’s look at the 007 Edition which was released as a special edition among the Seamaster line and continues to be popular.

The model 210.90.42.20.01.001 known as “No Time to Die” or “NTTD” was introduced in December 2019 about five months before the release of the James Bond No Time to Die movie in 2020. Until April 2024 transactions were made in the low 7 million KRW range.
A recent transaction at the end of May was completed at a much higher 10.5 million KRW for a near-new piece with a May 2024 stamp. Considering the retail price of 14.3 million KRW this is still a 26.6 percent discount. Pieces that are one or two years old are trading at almost half the retail price.
The 210.30.42.20.03.002 model released in 2022 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of James Bond is trading between 7.25 million and 9 million KRW. This model also shows a reasonable pre-owned price compared to the retail price of 11.9 million KRW and is quickly sold after being listed on VIVER.

As shown the Seamaster Diver 300M models are seeing more transactions on VIVER not only because of reasonable pre-owned prices but also due to a system that ensures accurate inspection and condition checks before delivery.
Why not dive into the ocean this summer with a Diver 300M on your wrist?
