Rolex Appraisal I can do it!
Anyone can become a Rolex appraiser! Daytona Part 2
VIVER

This article is a continuation from Anyone Can Be a Rolex Appraiser Part 1.

In the previous part, We explained the differences between genuine and counterfeit watches focusing on the dial and case. This time, We will look at the bracelet. In fact, If you open the case and check the movement, You can immediately determine whether it is genuine or fake. However, This is also a process of examining the external differences. As mentioned in Part 1, Please note that the differences shown here are specific to the Daytona replica used in this article and there may be other differences in other replicas.

Clasp Double Lock
(Safety Lever)

The polished surface of the finely engraved crown shows the difference between genuine and counterfeit. The shape of the mark itself is also cleaner on the genuine one and the finish of the surface attached to the clasp is also cleaner on the genuine product.

Clasp Inner Engraving

This time, We are looking at the inside of the clasp where the logo is engraved. There are very subtle differences in the spacing and font of the letters and again the shape of the crown is more balanced and well engraved on the genuine product.

Inside the Lugs

Inside the lugs, There is a part where the bracelet and case meet. This is called the end link or fitting.

On the counterfeit, You may find broken corners on this fitting as if they are chipped. Such flaws are not found on the genuine product. There is also a difference in the quality of the inner polishing finish between genuine and counterfeit.

Fitting and Lugs

There is also a slight gap between the lugs and bracelet on the counterfeit.

Inside the Clasp

This is the inside of the clasp lock. The condition of the sanded and polished (not smooth but with fine particles) surface is clearly cleaner on the genuine product. Also, The finish at the end of the clasp is rougher on the counterfeit compared to the genuine one.

Warranty Card

Finally, The warranty card. Well-made replicas even forge the serial number and warranty card.
So if you look closely at the green line on the genuine warranty card issued at the time,

You will find letters that are not visible to the naked eye. The green line on the genuine warranty card is made up of the phrase ROLEX GARANTIE INTERNATIONALE!

We Promise Even More Thorough Diagnosis

After carefully examining the details over two weeks, I felt that the manufacturing quality of Rolex replicas is extremely high. Many details have been revised and improved, So unless you look very closely, It seems that ordinary consumers would not be able to distinguish between genuine and counterfeit. VIVER will continue to strive for reliable authentication.
