When I looked at Cartier's official website, there was a watch marked as Solarbit Quartz, and it looked almost identical to other Tank Musts. What's the difference?
Solar Beat uses the sun's light energy to charge and drive photovoltaic cells hidden under the watch dial. Simply put, it can be thought of as Cartier's solar power generation method. This system, which is said to be able to be used for up to 16 years without battery replacement, has been applied since 2021.
However, a similar method has been used in the past by brands such as Grand Seiko. Recently, the ESG (sustainable management) wave that is more conscious of the environment around the world is affecting watches, and accordingly, vegan leather is also used to make leather that is environmentally friendly.

For reference, other than the charging method, the size and price are the same as the regular quartz/cowhide model.
